Marketing Operations Specialist

BASIC FUNCTION The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for designing, building, executing, analyzing, tracking, and continuously improving email and web marketing campaigns. The role will also help in other areas of marketing operations including database maintenance, audience segmentation, and marketing technologies used by a wide variety of team members. This person’s daily role will be in Eloqua and Salesforce working on email and program building, segmentation, external communication and reporting. This role will work closely with the Solutions Marketing and Field Marketing teams to deploy emails to our database. Additionally, this function is responsible for some marketing-related reporting and analysis used to enhance decision-making as it relates to external communications. They will be supporting the organization with insights used to produce improved results; process building/refinement; participating in marketing technology implementation, governance and maintenance; data management; and best practices exploration. We need someone who is technical, analytical, creative, and curious. JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO): • Build and maintain marketing campaigns as it relates to emails, email programs, landing pages and other marketing automation projects. You will design and build email templates and one-off emails through the use of HTML and CSS to ensure proper layout of email communications • Oversee the execution of all email marketing communications across the globe in line with our overall communication strategy • Measure effectiveness of campaigns by using, creating and maintaining key performance indicators • Develop expert knowledge of in-house data sources and help with lead filtering and processing • Perform segmentation and analysis of prospect and customer groups specific to email communications and other marketing automation aspects • Ensure proper layout, deliverability and trackability of email communications and responses via web forms • Create and maintain segmentations and targeted lists in Eloqua and Salesforce.com • Work within Salesforce.com to ensure proper setup of data for mass communications, lead tracking, and reporting • Review copy, suggest strategic and tactical improvements and ensure error-free email campaigns • Track, manage and resolve daily data-related support requests and issues of users • Monitor, consult, and provide reporting on campaign performance, best practice and lessons learned • Assist with developing strategies and solutions for improving campaign performance • Work within other marketing tools, such as Cvent, On24, and others, to ensure proper maintenance, integrations between systems, and as a point of contact for help with other marketing team members EDUCATION • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
